    A magical journey of love.

The Lemon Sisters is truly Jill Shalvis best book ever. I loved this book. This was a story about love and friendship and family as well as finding yourself and letting go. You will feel as if you are there and not just reading a story. Jill Shalvis always leaves me feeling as if I were a part of that world. The journeys she ended me on through her books are amazing. Brooke and Mindy Lemon are sisters that are living completely different lives. They both grew up in Wildstone. However Mindy stayed and got married, had three beautiful children and ran a business. Brooke left everything including her boyfriend behind. After a helicopter crash that changed her life forever, Brooke suffering from PTSD, realized nothing was ever the same for her. Mindy has led a different life in Wildstone. When Mindy shows up on Brooke's doorstep suffering from a breakdown and panicking, Brooke steps in to help her sister out. Brooke and Mindy trade places and Brooke returns to Wildstone to take care of Mindy's three kids and allow Mindy to have some R&R and get herself together. Enter Garrett Brooke's ex and true love. Scorned and resentful to Brooke he tries to deny what his heart wants, however the heart wants what the hearts wants. The chemistry between Brooke and Garrett is undeniable. The love between Mindy and Linc, her husband is so heartwarming. The Lemon Sisters is truly a phenomenal book. The magic Jill Shalvis has created is beyond this world. The Lemon Sisters is not a book just about romance. The Lemon Sisters is a book of friendship, love lost and love found and family and finding yourself. The characters struggles are very realistic and relatable. Even Linc and Garret have struggles that Jill Shalvis shows her reader's with great detail. What Mindy goes through with her marriage and relationships with her children and her sister as well as finding herself are so realistic. As wives and mother's alot of us could relate. Brooke's struggles are also relatable. Just her PTSD alone as well as her OCD. I love how we got to see different characters with different struggles. I loved how OCD was an issue for more than one character and each character that suffered from OCD dealt with things differently. In this day and age things like OCD are real and it is always great when a seasoned author like Jill Shalvis writes about it. The heartache she feels and the loss she feels is just so real. I love how you, as the reader get to see that everyone has struggles. Mindy and Linc's children even struggles some. The Lemon Sisters is definitely my favorite book that Jill Shalvis has written. I felt every emotion. I cried, laughed and had heartswooning as well as heartwarming moments. From the beginning Jill Shalvis captivated my heart and soul. Her words danced off the page and right into my heart where they will forever stay. I read this in one night and have since reread it a second time. It's that good. Jill Shalvis has proven to be a phenomenal writer. The lemon Sisters is definitely a book that will forever stay in my heart.

    Emotion galore

Shalvis is one of the best at creating real people and real situations. In The Lemon Sisters, she perfectly blends together romance, women’s fiction, and family drama to deliver a beautiful tale of connecting to others & finding home again. After a tragic accident, Brooke has cut herself off from those she loves. She’s coping, but not dealing, and a visit from her desperate sister brings it all back to the surface. And forces her to confront those she’s hurt. Mindy has lost herself in being a wife, mother, and business owner. She’s feeling overwhelmed & unseen and she is afraid of what it means to her marriage. Desperate, she turns to the sister she barely knows anymore for help. And sets both of them on a path to facing ghosts and old hurts. I really enjoyed how both of the sisters played a starring role in the book – their individual well-being and their relationship with each other, and with their SOs, is equally important. But even with so much going on, Shalvis handles it fairly and none of it feels shorted. I ended it feeling like I understood everyone’s situation, how they had gotten where they were at the beginning, and felt good about how they managed to get to their HEA. (Part of a series but each one is pretty much a stand alone.) **Review given honestly and freely after receipt of a reader copy. This opinion is completely my own and was not influenced in any way.**

    2nd chance romance & more

The Lemon Sisters by Jill Shalvis Wildstone #3 Mindy and Brooke Lemon were close as peas in a pod when they were growing up but time and events changed that leaving them almost estranged after Mindy stayed away from Wildwood for seven years. The two are giving a chance to fix things when Brooke showed up in need of a bread and Mindy stepped in to help out. Mindy went back to Wildwood wanting to fix things for Brooke and also apologize and make things right with Garrett, a man that had been very special to her in the past. The journey is not easy for either sister as they try to fix what is wrong in their lives and find themselves and true happiness again. This book offers a second chance at romance for Brooke and Mindy, deals with marital issues Brooke and Linc were facing, has Garrett dealing with a father who was has been out of his life for years, includes Mindy’s darling children that provide interesting situations and the friendships of the past being rekindled. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I watching the couples deal with big issues and in doing so find the happiness they were seeking. Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review. 5 Stars

My favorite of Jill's. 6 Hearts!

6 Hearts The Lemon Sisters is the third book in the Wildstone series by the talented Jill Shalvis. I'm a huge fan of Jill's and have read over fifty of her books and I have to say The Lemon Sisters is my favorite! I don't know what I love more about this book. The sisters who love each other, but fight. The kids who remind me so much of my own, the husband and best friend who are funny, sexy and flawed. There was just so much real in the book that I was laughing out loud and reading sections of it to my husband while I giggled. Jill's writing is always fantastic, but she took it to another level with this book. The emotion, the humor, the sadness, the truth. It gave me all the feels! Mindy is married with three kids. She shows up on her sister, Brooke's doorstep and she's a mess. She's overwhelmed, upset, and lost. Her husband works too much, she doesn't feel good about herself, she's tired, sad and can't stop crying. Brooke offers to take care of her kids for a few days so she can rest and relax. And she ends up taking them back home and figures it's a good time for her to mend some of her own fences. Mainly the sexy, handsome neighbor who she loved years ago and just left without a word. Garrett isn't as open to talking as Brooke would have liked, but she needs to apologize. She's only there a few days so what does it matter. Except Mindy doesn’t want to come home yet, Brooke needs to have a much needed talk with Mindy's husband, Linc, and the kids need her. She gives Mindy the time she needs and she realizes she also needs time. Time to find herself again. To let go of the past. To let her family in. Making amends just isn't enough. She misses her family, friends and Wildstone. But can she just come back home? What about her life in LA? This story was more emotional than I thought it was going to be. Brooke's past, her anxiety, Mindy's control issues, Linc being oblivious to what is going on around him. And Garrett's past and his intimacy issues. And the kids. Oh my, the kids! I loved them all so much! They were some of the best secondary characters I've ever read! All of it was done so well! These are real issues and they aren't fun and games, but Jill uses humor and she created these strong, vulnerable characters who actually learn from each other and realize they are all stronger together! It's one of my favorites of the year!

This Book Is Not A Lemon

Brooke’s sister Mindy had a nervous breakdown while visiting. In a moment of weakness, Brooke offered to watch Mindy’s 3 children. They are Mason, who likes to wear girls’ clothes, Princess Millie (Will only answer to Princess Millie) and Mad Dog Maddox (He barks instead of speaking,) Brooke decided she would take the kids and watch them at their home in Wildstone. Wildstone is where Garrett, Brooke’s first love lives. Brooke broke Garrett’s heart seven years ago. Brooke needed to tell Garrett she was sorry but he was so distant. You will love finding out if Brooke would be able to get Garrett’s forgiveness. I loved this book! It is hold your stomach funny. It will charm you one minute and make you cry the next. This is one you will read more than once. I received this ARC book in exchange for a honest review.
