    Nowhere to Hide

Nowhere to Hide is the first romantic suspense by Louise Lyndon that I have read, although I am a fan of her historical romances. This tells the story of Marlee, who has moved back to small town Australia, where she is constantly defending her grandfather, who was a suspect in her grandmother's death. A crime journalist, who used to be a police officer, has come to look at the crime and see if he can solve it. Marlee has sent numerous emails saying that they are not welcome, but they turn up anyway. The attraction between Marlee and Devon is instantaneous, but she fights it as she believes her grandfather is innocent. This quickly changes when she is given undeniable proof that he was guilty. As his secrets unravel, Marlee has decisions to make for the safety of both herself and her young son. This book was well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow. However, something just felt like it was missing for me, and for the life of me I can't think what it was. I actually finished the book a couple of days ago, before I wrote this review. I've even re-read parts to see if I can find what is missing, but to no avail. There is a LOT that goes on in this book, and the spotlight is taken off Marlee and her grandfather's story by the emergence of Devon's story. The attraction is there, but maybe it is the deeper feelings that I just didn't see. If you like romance suspense, maybe you've read some of Louise Lyndon's historical romance, or just like books that are sent in Australia, then I can definitely recommend this book. * A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!
