Jennifer Robson is one of the most talented story tellers I’ve read in a while. Her ability. To develop characters who beckon you into their drawing rooms and lives as the author takes you back to life during and mostly after the Great War. The British class system, a mystery to most other than Brits of a certain age, lower class hurting and mostly ignored after serving their country are featured realistically, the contentment of the comfortable middle class and the enormous upheavals the upperclassmen all have stories which Ms Robson brings together in an amazing engaging and emotionally charged novel. I highly recommended it. I listened in audio and I give five stars to the narrator, excellent job.

    Thanks for your feedback!
