  • Good exploration of disability

This book seems marketed primarily as a look into disability in fairytales; in reality, it is more a look at the author's own experience with her disability, as well as how disability is perceived in the modern world. There is also a decent amount of time spent on the exploration of disability in fairytale, but I do wish this were more of the book, as it was fascinating. However, I found her look at her own experience and the modern disability experience to be very worthwhile. As a disabled person, there were many times when this book brought me to tears over the way it hit home to my own experience.

    Thanks for your feedback!
