  • Brilliantly narrated, and very enjoyable

I had enjoyed “Neverwhere” so much when it was on TV, and was really interested in seeing what this short story would be like. It brought back all the wonder of “Neverwhere”: the parts of London re-imagined and populated by amazing and fantastical peoples, determined by their London place names. We had the Elephant, from Elephant and Castle, the sinister Shepherds from Shepherd’s Bush with their obedient flocks – and most wonderful of all, the Marquis de Carabas, sadly missing his very impressive coat. The Marquis was no longer quite the man he used to be without his coat (after all, clothes maketh the man) and he has to find it again before his reputation suffers immeasurable harm. Armed only with a letter from a lovesick mushroom boy, he sets out to remedy the situation. The narration by Neil Gaiman was excellent, and the story enthralling. I had to listen to it straight through, without a break, to make sure that the coat came back to its rightful owner. Highly recommended.

    Thanks for your feedback!
