    Prodigal Bride

The Shakespearean title works well with this tale of un-star-crossed lovers. The main characters are easy to like and believable in their marriage avoidance. The English and some traitorous Scots make threatening villains in need of vengeance. My mother was a MacDougall, so it was fun to have the clan used in the story. We have been to Dunstaffnage Castle so I liked that MacDougall castle playing its small part. I looked up Benmore and found it is still a grand looking place. I look forward to more in this series. I experienced this as an audiobook to give this mode a try on Kobo. * I have some hearing loss so I struggled with some parts. * e.g. Kenna was heard as Tenna or maybe Penna (I got Kenna from the writeup) * Saskia Maarleveld was much better to follow than a reader I tried on iBook * The Kobo audio was easy to use * I could easily drag over to Plaintext to make a list of characters NOTE: I think it would make audiobooks more attractive if the authors website had a listing of characters and odd place names for each book. This is especially true for Scottish ones where the names are not so easily recognized, even for those of us who have spent time in Scotland.
