  • Not for me

    * possible spoilers* I personally didn’t care for this. I loathed Emma’s mother and father. However, with that said, even though Sara’s intentions were good, you can’t just steal someone’s child. No matter how right it seems. I don’t like how the author basically glorified kidnapping and life on the run. Sara was in a privileged position with finances so it made it seem even easier to do. Sara chose the easy way out. If she really wanted to make a difference she could have fought it out legally, the right way, and brought attention to a broken system. Maybe even fostered Emma, if she ended up in foster care, and then eventually adopted her. So maybe she made a difference in Emma’s life by making her more confident and secure in some ways and even loved. But what about the unstable situation she put her in by constantly having to look over her shoulder? Packing and moving on a whim? Teaching Emma if you want something you just take it? Because that’s what she did. What if she got caught? Would that not be traumatizing to a young child as well? Not to mention the agony she put her father in. Never knowing what happened to his daughter, and what she might have/was going through. Again, I personally didn’t care for this one.. kidnapping is wrong.
