    A Beginnin

Robert Jordan's first book in the Wheel of Time series leaves more than a little to be desired. Very few of these characters are likeable in any way. The Ogre, Loyal, comes to mind as one of the few. Throughout the main character Rand has dreams of the big bad antagonist. None of these dream sequences are memorable or really very threatening, mostly consisting of the Big Bad taunting Rand about precious lives and how he is the Big Bad's hound. If I didn't have know how most people feel about the Wheel of Time series as a whole I would stop right here and not continue with the series. Here's to hoping it gets better.

    Wordsmith on display

A true movie in your mind! I am hooked from the first chapters. This is a great series when I am driving.

    Just couldn’t get into it

After reading the A song of ice and fire TWICE I needed something similar. This was recommended to me. Honestly I got halfway through this book and simply couldn’t listen anymore. It’s DRY. Just so boring and dry. Reads like a cheesy old1960’s sci-fi book. I’m glad I got it free with my trial because I would have been mad to pay for it. No, sadly I don’t recommend the book but I do like Ratuken Kobo itself. Very very basic interface but it does the job.

Best way to solidify a story

Third time through these books. Going through them this time with the audiobooks gives a whole new way to understand the story. Love it.

    Wheel of Time

Really well read and easy to listen to. I liked the voices used and it helped keep the story exciting.
