  • Strange and ingenious

There is no doubt that trying to follow the story at the beginning was difficult as it jumped from one apparently disparate story to another. And yet the whole still kept my attention. I thoroughly enjoyed how the threads were drawn together, with many allusions to writing, nay—story craft. I don't want to discuss any details, as I don't want to ruin anyone else's experience with the book, and yet some threads felt loose at the end; unfinished.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Intriguing, beautiful

It took a while to get into this, as the multiple narrative strands don’t make any sense at first - I admit I skipped over lots of them once I realised that the Zacharie Ezra Rawlins chapters were the main thread, but I have now gone back to read all the interspersed stories! I enjoyed the tone and pace of the readers. Each perfectly suited to their part of the story.
