  • Let them fear her

A centuries-long holy war. A girl who talks to Gods. A prince who was sent to war too young. A boy fighting a monster inside him. This book is one of my favorites of the year. This book wreaked me. This book destroyed me. This book broke my heart. I loved every single minute. I got so lost in this book's cruel monstrous beauty that I stayed up all night to finish it. I was really craving a dark book when I picked this up and it delivered and then some. This book made me question what makes a sinner and what makes a saint. Nadya, Serefin, and Malachiaz all stole my heart. This book is told from the Point of Views of Nadya and Serefin who are both on opposite sides of the war. I loved getting to see both sides of this war from people who had been living it their whole lives and not just one side like most first books. I loved the side characters as well. I also have two ships I am going down with. The writing was outstanding and flowed so smoothly. After the cliffhanger ending, I NEED Ruthless Gods aka book 2 now. I highly recommend this book especially if you love dark books. Rating: 5 stars
