  • Alternative lives

If you can suppress reality for an instant and believe in alternative but parallel worlds with points of intersection then this book is for you. A story of love, complexity, weirdness and distance in close proximity. Do we have to understand everything or just accept it?

  • Strange but fascinating.

I'm not yet sure what to make of this, but it's very interesting. Have to read Book 3 before commenting further.

  • Intriguing taste of Japan

It was difficult to find a way in to this tale of two lives but then you are intrigued to find out where the author is going with this. A strange tale it turns out to be and facinating in the telling. A modern parable of Japans post war society and her place in the world ? Definitely worth the effort.

  • Un bon moment

Un bon moment, mais je suis resté un peu sur ma faim à la fin... J'ai aimé le style aussi, léger. À lire même si vous n'êtes pas fan de fantastique.

  • Alternative worlds

Gripping, I love the way Murakami weaves the complex fabric of this story. It is indeed a tale for creative misfits to enjoy.
