    Strange but fascinating.

I'm not yet sure what to make of this, but it's very interesting. Have to read Book 3 before commenting further.

    Un bon moment

Un bon moment, mais je suis resté un peu sur ma faim à la fin... J'ai aimé le style aussi, léger. À lire même si vous n'êtes pas fan de fantastique.

    Alternative worlds

Gripping, I love the way Murakami weaves the complex fabric of this story. It is indeed a tale for creative misfits to enjoy.

    Greatly disappointing

I'm a big fan of Murakami, but I was incredibly disappointed with this novel. I carried through to the end, holding on in the hope it would get better. It doesn't. It's slow and disjointed with many holes still left in the story when you turn the last page. It finally begins to get interesting in the last chapter and the feeling that it will come to a climax builds. But it doesn't. I missed opportunity for such a great writer.
