    Classic military sci fi

This is a classic example of the "misfit becomes hero" genre - even the hero doesn't really believe he has the "right stuff". The novel fits neatly in the Honorverse and provides a solid base for the adventures to come. I am really looking forward to the next episode in this branch of the saga.

    Great

Finished in three hours, can't wait for the next book in the series. Another great addition to the space opera genre !

    Manticore

A good start to the picky bits of the Honorverse. The novel brings the reader up against the compulsion to duty felt by many honorable people. Having good prose and a tight reign on the plot and story, the novel portends good things in the coming segments.
