  • Excellent read!

I was unable to put this book down, it was so interesting. I recall hearing about this tragedy back in 2012 but this book went into detail about the factual events that occurred at the hands of James Holmes, and his evolution from shy intellectual to remorseless murderer. This book highlights the ease with which this person went about purchasing weapons, ballistic clothing and various ingredients he needed to build bombs which he built to booby trap his apartment. He also explained how he used the internet to learn how to build his bombs. What is truly sad is that this intelligent individual’s mental illness and intellect combined was used to cause such harm against innocent victims rather than using the intellect for the well-being of others. I enjoyed the psychological aspect and descriptions contained in this book, as it put often difficult to understand legal jargon into understandable wording so the reader fully understands what is being said. If you are searching for gore and graphic descriptions of the carnage, this is not the book for you.

    Thanks for your feedback!
