A book that stands out from the rest

A brilliantly written complex story in turns hilarious and mysterious and tragic. The way she interweaves different eras is so ingenious. The WW2 passages are incredibly well researched and realistic and moving. But I was never prepared for the shocking ending and it left me reeling and not sure what I had actually been reading ! I'm still mystified !

    A Masterpiece

This is my third Kate Atkinson book and I'm a big fan. I read this after Life after Life and really didn't want it to end. The story will stay with me and must say it broke my heart. Now onto the next one !!!

A wonderful character brought to life.

Teddy is one of my favourite characters in fiction. This is a wonderful, moving book and I can't recommend it enough. Exceptional.

    Ah, so sad

The threads of the novel twist and turn and weave around themselves and you as you read.
