A Good Day to Marry a Duke

I was looking for a book to read. I found this book to give it a try even though this is a new author. I am glad that I have. I enjoyed this story line. I hope you will too. It is set in 1888 and Daisy does everything wrong in that time. She doesn't ride side saddle! So her mother sends her across the Pond to get a Duke. She finds one and gets a Duke who chases butterflies and his family, except from his brother. The Duke, Arthur, has that family that ruins his Estate down. Daisy tries to help him and then Lord Aston comes in. Daisy is made to find out if she is of Royal blood. She is, but they still put her down. Now Arthur stands up for her. She will marry Arthur who then sees Daisy kiss Aston who is leaving. You will have all kinds of action, good and bad, in this book. Check out this book! Give this read a chance! Don't let this book get away from you! Enjoy your read!

    Heroine who can't control herself

I liked the idea of the story line, but the actual story was lacking. Ashton was a proper hero for the most part. I did love Daisy's personality as far as being straightforward and such, what I didn't like about her at all, every time you turned around Daisy and Ash were about to have sex. She couldn't control herself even a little bit when he was around which made her seem like she was ready to jump into bed with anyone! About every single time she was with Ash, alone or not, he was able to "tempt" her into almost sex. Uncle Red was too over the top hick. Even with this being fictional, several of the situations and the way Daisy was accepted and such was just too unbelievable. The 3 stars is for the possibilities of the story and Arthur and Fox. I received the ARC from NetGalley, thank you!

A Goid Day to Marry a Duke

A great read! Loved the characters and the engaging story of a wealthy American pursuing a Duke for marriage. Not the fairy tale rich Duke you expect but an unaware, nature loving, socially awkward Duke. The American woman opens his eyes to his oblivious knowledge of his estate and those family members who had betrayed his trust. Many interesting changes come about.
