    Live and learn

I don't normally read anything considered historic so i came into this with blind eyes, but i must say it was very refreshing from moder or paranormal tales. The events in this story are still so similiar to everydays woes of current. However, it seems more mild mannered in the 1800's as this story is set. We have a highlander man, Rob, and his English wife, Claire, who've been married for 3 years and seperated for one. After receiving word from her husband about being sent to battle Claire realizes she needs to see him and clear the air. Some things were said and done that ruined their relationship. Rob is skeptical about her appearance because the last time they were together things ended horribly. As they begin to reacquaint with each other they learn more than they ever had the chance before. Being a military wife isnt easy, but communication is very important, especially since men dont understand women all that well. I liked the realness to this story and the different time period. In my eyes it seemed to match the traditions that were valued back then and maintained its truth.
