  • Oh, My!

An incredibly sweet story! Who would have thought that General John Mendez is a softie? That he has tender feelings? This is exactly what happens in this way too short, melt your heart, adorable Christmas story. I love all the emotions this brings with it. For most, Christmas is the most magical time of the year, but for John Mendez, he doesn’t do magical and he certainly doesn’t do Christmas carols. He doesn’t particularly like Christmas. He leads one of the most secrets special op teams in the world, he is tough, he is mean, he is General Mendez, a force to be reckoned with! Until he has Kat back in his life. No one deserves a sweet, sugary, filled with cookies, carols, and a miracle or two kind of Christmas more than Kat and John Mendez. They have gone through the fire, so to speak, and found each other after 20 years of loss. In true Mendez fashion, one where he has total control, John realizes that he can’t control anything - especially a tiny unborn baby. Babies come when they want to, not when they are supposed to as John finds out the hard way. I love how Kat keeps reassuring John that she is fine and in control with each contraction, only to realize that baby Elena is coming - in her own time frame and in a raging snowstorm! I love this! I also feel good about Ian in this incredible story. He is actually a decent human being and a trustworthy friend to both Kat and John when they need it most. A real tear-jerker when Roman becomes the topic of conversation. I love the outcome of this most of all. I love, love this story! Now, on to Roman’s story (I hope)!

  • A Mendez Miracle!!

"She didn't know what she'd done to deserve this kind of happiness, but she wasn't taking it for granted." Well Joy to the World!! I loved this story and what a great way to usher in the Miracle of Christmas! It was so good to catch up with Mendez and Kat, and wait until you see what miracles are in store for these two!! There is no way I can give you more details without being a big spoiler so, you'll just have to read it. But, if you've followed the HOT team through the series, you won't want to miss this one, for sure! And, really, can we ever have enough Ian Black? I mean, c'mon, right? GAH!

  • Couldn't be better

This was a HOT Christmas story that I didn’t know I needed. I loved every minute of it. It made me so happy. I am seriously grinning like an idiot because it made me so happy. I don’t think it could have been a better story for Mendez and Kat. Ian Black’s role in it was perfect too.

  • HOT (and Sweet) Christmas

What a little slice of awesome, just in time for Christmas! Mendez and Kat are characters I really love, and it seems like the poor woman's been pregnant for YEARS. It was so fun to finally find out what happens when she goes into Labor. In true HOT style, there's a hitch Mendez's carefully laid the plans, and excitement ensues. There's also a fantastic subplot that I guarantee will leave you with all the feels. (And yeah, being cryptic is required - because spoilers!) I loved this so much, I've read it twice already.

    Thanks for your feedback!
