  • Fantastic story, beautifully written

Loved it. Sylvia Kurtz's style can best be described as "the right information when you need it." You really do discover the main characters as they discover one another: there are no information dumps. I especially liked the continuity between the first chapters as they alternated between the two main characters. I did find myself a little confused when Kurtz began to play with that structure, but I'm not going to take a star off for that. Kurtz also has a wide vocabulary, which was refreshing to read. Not in the "big words no one knows" sense. You won't read "her heart was thundering in her chest" twenty times. There is some sex in this book, which some readers may not want to read, but it is beautifully and sensually described, with an emphasis on what each character is feeling. There's very little about the actual physical motions, and absolutely no gross stuff. I was disappointed to find out that this is the only book in this style the author has written. Her typical genre is romantic suspense, and I'm not a suspense reader. I loved her "just in time" style and how so many things just fit in to the plot. My only complaint is part of the ending, which I of course won't describe here. I found some parts unnecessary. But I'm still sticking with my five stars.

    Thanks for your feedback!
