  • Oh my beating heart

I love a good bad boy high school romance, and Tyler is just the right side of bad. He has no clue of his capabilities, but Annie, knows. She knows he’s going all the way, and she’s willing to stand by him every step of the way. High school romance is always full of so much drama, and Annie and Tyler were always going to be high octane, after reading the prequel novella Love Notes, and having read the Wicked series, I just knew that Tyler and Annie’s story would rock my world. I just didn’t realise it would leave me in pieces. Truly wonderful writing, a completely addictive story that I loved. Teenage drama, broody wannabe rockstar, forbidden romance. The only thing I’m sad about is I’ve got to wait to find out what happens next. I was a bit of a wreck to put it lightly. Addicted to the characters, addicted to the story, addicted to love. None of the aforementioned books need to be read prior to this book, but as always, it’s always great to have a back story, and it doesn’t hurt that they’re sooooo good. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

  • So Much Drama, Angst and Love!

Ahh!! I can’t wait for the next book and to see where Tyler and Annie’s story takes us. I totally loved Tyler although there are hints he's the bad boy or has that persona, he really doesn’t. He is popular as soon as he starts Oakwood Prep but never lets that get to him...he couldn’t care less. He just wants a better life and the girl he knows he’s not supposed to have. He misses their friendship and has no idea why she hates him. I also loved Annie and how strong she was. My heart broke for her as she struggled between being angry with Tyler and wanting nothing more than to be with him. She was constantly bullied at school and needed her best friend. I was waiting for him to choose a side and am glad he finally did. There was a ton of drama, angst and love in this book but there was also heartbreak. In Annie’s eyes the ultimate betrayal. And then that cliffhanger!

  • A favorite for 2020!! Annie & Tyler are PERFECTION

This book is one of my favorites for 2020....and this whole series has the makings to be one of my all-time favorites. So much angst and teenage emotions wrapped up in one amazing story. Annie & Tyler are going to be epic. This book will rip your heart out and I have no doubt the series will put you back together again! Piper Lawson has the ability to create the most amazing characters and these guys are no exception. Be prepared to want to be friends with Annie, fall in love with Tyler (and then kick him in the nuts at times—you know, like a real, pain in the butt guy), and possibly slap an overprotective rock-star dad. Also, be prepared to want to eat your feelings...I needed emotional support cake at the end (no lie and no shame!). Of course, now I can’t wait for A Love Song for Rebels to hit my kindle. “”What do you want?” Her next breath fills her lungs, my ears. “I want to forget you.” — “I don’t believe in gods, but if they ever existed… Their ashes stir each time that boy lifts a guitar.”

  • Give me more!

NA romance is quickly becoming one of my go-to genres! Annie and Tyler have an off the charts chemistry. The attraction and emotions between them pour from the pages. The slow build to that first kiss is absolutely worth it! There are laugh out loud moments and moments where you want to throw your Kindle. Please don't throw your Kindle, you'll need it for books 2 and 3! Filled with firsts, angst and all that goes along with surviving High School, A Love Song For Liars hits all the right notes! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Sweet and sinful explode ...

The young girl with a sensitive heart has blossomed into a strong-willed woman. Annie is most definitely her father's daughter. She does not suffer fools easily and she keeps her emotions close to the vest. A Love Song for Liars is a tale of firsts. First love has become a first heartache that has quickly blossomed into haunting regrets. For Annie, Tyler is her greatest mistake. For Tyler, Annie is the one that got away. Lawson introduced us to the dream. Young love at it's most fragile has become a painful reminder of what was. Can two lost souls begin again to find out if what was, is worth risking forever after? Sweet and sinful explode into a heartache that lingers like a perfume on the air.
