    Best one in the series

I absolutely loved this book! I have never liked any two characters as much as I liked Eugenia and Phineous. I've read this book 3 times already and fall more in love with them each time.

    Different, quirky, heartwarming!

An odd book about odd characters. Odd isn’t necessarily bad, just odd. I found it difficult to warm up to Phineaus. He had good reasons to be how he was, but how he was did not lend itself to a sweeping romance. But it did lead to a quirky, often humorous, often heartwarming story. I read it, enjoyed it, but know I wouldn’t read it a second time. So if you are looking for unique and sweet, this is the book for you. If you want a strong male lead, this is that is not the norm, this is your ticket! But if you are looking for a strong traditional hero, then you may not love this...

    Intensely moving

Love this series, Phineas and Genie's story is glorious...deeply emotional and revealing with a cracker of a storyline....lovely to catch up with characters from previous books also....Who can forget Lady Wallingham and Humphrey So who is murdering members of the Ton, if Phineas' murdering mother and accomplice are dead...and why do they all point to Phineas' involvement?? Enjoy,!!

    Scandal, intrigue and love!

I’m a fan of Elisa Braden and this book did not disappoint! There is a strong story line and characters that drew me in and I could not put the book down. This is part of the Rescued from Ruin series but is a stand-alone book. Phineas Brand age 33 is the Earl of Holstoke and he is looking for a bride. Not so easy when his Mother was a murderer and his Father was considered draft but only because he was being poisoned by the aforementioned Mother. Lady Eugenia Huxley age 22 is thought ruined by the Ton and would just like to go into business for herself making hats. Genie feels like she is a great burden to her family. They are not an obvious pair since Phineas had asked Genie’s sister to marry him six years ago and her sister had turned him down to marry the love of her life. Phineas and Genie can’t seem to stop the attraction or interest each has in the other. This book made me laugh at times and cry at other times. I consider writing that can pull me into the story and make me feel the emotions of the characters as well written. I highly recommend this book. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
