  • Very Entertaining

The best one in the series so far. The ending was suspenseful. If you want to read a series that is entertaining but not too demanding, this is it.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Out of Time A Rip in Time

Another great edition to this series. Can't wait to see where Simon and Elizabeth travel to in future books.

  • Victorian London in 1888 - poverty, dirt, murder..

This seemed curiously less involving than previous titles in the series - possibly because the background events (the Jack the Ripper murders) are more familiar, though it may be a combination of being rather too long since I read one of these 'main sequence' novels and have forgotten about the characters that have featured in previous volumes. I had some problems visualising Elizabeth in full Victoria get-up making her way through the Whitechapel slums... And Jack Wells is mostly absent - he manages to dilute the possibly cloying Cross relationship. Other reviewers have commented on her general uselessness and while I don't have a massive problem with her I can see their point. I have several more books to go and will continue the sequence.

    Thanks for your feedback!
