  • Happiness is fleeting, joy forever

This is a fitting ending to the Huxtable series. So many loose ends are tied up, none of them sinister, and the true people beneath the masks worn for society revealed. The true Hannah is not the Duchess of Dunbarton but simply Barbara Leavenworth's best friend, while Constantine Huxtable is not the scoundrel his cousin has thought him to be but rather a product of Jonathan's pure love. They are a perfect couple even though they have faced many hurdles to be that. I will miss reading about this family hut I am sure this series is one I will be happy to return to.

  • Huxtable series

A delightful 5 book series tracing the trials, upheavals and loves of the family. More detailed plots and characterisations than many Regency tales.
