  • A good start to a new series

Set in Ottawa, "A Striking Similarity" follows the police search for the killer responsible for four murders. There are similarities in each case, including the fact that all four women murdered were the mothers of daughters who were high school wrestlers. Detective Terry Millar as well as his partner Sue and Constable Grant are on the case. Interestingly, Detective Millar's daughter Tina, a fifteen year old, is also a high school wrestler. This novel is well crafted and keeps the reader's interest right to the end. I look forward to the other books in the series.

  • A Striking Similarity

Great book. I'm a sucker for books that take place in places I am familiar with. It helps me get really in to the book. So I was interested in this because it takes place in Ottawa. Great find! Excellent story. Cool twists. Great characters. I had a hard time putting it down and stayed up way too late to finish it. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I'm really glad I found this authour and will buy th next in the series for sure.

  • I have a fat lip...

because I dropped my phone twice dozing off. Just couldn't stop reading. I loved this book. The characters are strong and there's just enough action to keep me riveted.

  • Easily forgotten:

I enjoyed the book very much but found the ending a little abrupt like it suddenly dropped off a cliff. I also thought the character "Grant" was too quickly forgotten for his key role in solving the murder. At the end only the Captain and Penner are given recognition for their roles in the drama when the story actually more often revolved around the young constable's training and insight.
