  • Absorbing!

I had been looking forward to reading this after really enjoying the first book in the series. Without giving anything away there are some surprising plot twists that will keep you guessing right to end! It’s a very original story with some great world building and characters. There is plenty of action, toe curling romance and a subtle unveiling of various characters true motives and intentions before the longed for HEA. It’s an absorbing read, but important to note that the first book in the series must be read first.

  • An awesome conclusion to Maddoc and Ana's story

A drop-everything-and-read-the-whole-day type of book. This concludes the story of Maddoc and Ana, though I suspect Zoey isn't quite done with this universe just yet. I look forward to reading whoever is next in this saga, though I really hope is Raine's turn. This is the conclusion of Maddoc and Ana's story, so it doesn't has a cliffhanger, but you do have to read the first book to best enjoy this. I've read every book written by Zoey Ellis and I haven't found any that has disappointed me. Ana has escaped Maddoc with Ryden, her fated mate, but what he's asking her to do so they can break the promise made to Maddoc seems too high for her. She can't help but remember the things Maddoc said about her and the court, but she doesn't want to be a puppet anymore. What happens when all she's known her whole life turns out to be a lie? Will she survive all the secrets that the people closest to her have been hiding from her? And when Maddoc does the worst possible thing for her when he retrieves her, can she ever forgive him? Will she understand why he did what he did or is her worldview too damaged to see clearly anymore or let her trust her instincts? I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

  • An entertaining conclusion to the Beholden Duet…

While Ana’s escape from the palace provides some breathing space from the intensity of Maddoc and his wild claims, it doesn’t take long for her to begin to question all that she’s been led to believe. As yet more secrets are revealed, she struggles with knowing where to place her trust – in her parents who love her, but who’ve lied to her repeatedly… in Ryden, her fiancé, who wants her for his own agenda… or with Maddoc, who infuriates her just by being himself, but who also might just be telling the truth. I admired Ana’s desire to set things right as she came to understand the grim reality of life beyond the palace walls. I enjoyed this couple’s dynamic – their push and pull and their heated confrontations as Ana embraced her natural instincts as an Omega. This fantasy Omegaverse romance is well written, with plenty of action, drama, deception, secrets, mystery, and anguish, along with many explicit Alpha/Omega encounters. I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

  • Love this book!

What can I say? Zoey nailed again! This is the conclusion of Ana and Maddoc's story and it was a ride. Finally we understand the motivation of Maddoc and why Ana was left in "dark" for so long. I loved this story and characters, can't wait for more xD hope Zoey return to this world :)

  • Ana and Maddoc!

This is a one-sitting read! I was riveted to the page while reading this second book. Couldn't wait to see their ending. Some surprises. Took me a while to like Maddoc. I love these alpha/omega stories. Maddoc was a rough alpha, and some things even made me flinch. I still loved it!
