  • A Time To Kill

An almost unbelievable combination; shocking, enlightening and incredibly funny. Probably the most enjoyable read I've ever had!

  • Brutal; gripping

If Sweet Thursday by Steinbeck is a book where everyone is good in their own way, this is the antithesis. Pretty much noone comes out clean, yet you're engaged by them all, rooting for the least worst to triumph. Stunningly written, which it needs to be for you to be able to survive the sequence of disappointments in character and action. You're left with having had a fantastic read and still wondering 'was this really what the American South was like in the 1980s?'!

  • A time to kill

An excellent book. It's been years since I read a John Grisham novel and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hard to put down and I really look forward to getting into another one. Great stuff
