  • Captivating & Transfixing!

If your favoured reading material is a novel with a good sprinkling of mystery, secrets, grudges, unlikely friendships and discovery of the truth no matter what, then feel free to read this offering by Jude Deveraux - A Willing Murder. The start of a new series - A Medlar Mystery - this novel was a captivating and transfixing read. I was never bored but instead, was lured ever deeper into this really wonderful mystery. The writing was powerful and exquisite and there were an abundance of twist and turns to satiate even the most enthusiastic of armchair sleuths. With strong characters that I was able to really connect with, this was a wonderfully fresh beginning of a new must-read series and I will be reading the next one. I received a complimentary digital copy of this novel, at my own request, from the publisher via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.

  • A brilliant new mystery series

A thrilling riveting read from the 1st page in the first in a new series of Medlar mysteries. Takes you along at a pace you really don’t want to put the story down. You are really drawn into small town life in Florida where everyone knows your business, or do they? Kate comes to small town Lachlan to stay with Aunt Sara start a new job and find out more about her dad. She runs right into the middle of a 20 year old double murder. There are plenty of twist and turns to satisfy the most ardent sleuth. Strong characters that you really connect with. This is the start of a new must read series by an award winning author and you will not want to miss the next instalment. I was given an ARC of this book by Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
