  • Wicked and Wonderful

Katee Roberts has taken classic fairy tales and twisted and turned them in the most delicious ways. This is the third in her “Wicked Villains” series, and we finally get Tink’s story. She’s popped up quite a bit in the first two books, and I’ve been eagerly waiting for her tale. Tink was everything I hoped she would be, tough and determined, strong and unapologetic about who she is and what she wants. But she also had a tender side to her, and a vulnerability that I hadn’t expected. Hook, the man to finally win Tink’s heart, was so much more than I could have hoped for her. He was both commanding and sweet, and all in when it came to loving Tink. He was a wonderful partner for her, allowing her to be herself and wanting all of her, the good and the bad. Tink wasn’t the only one who fell hard for him. The world that Robert has created is so rich and exciting, so full of passion and intrigue, that I can’t help but devour each new book. “A Worthy Opponent” was no exception. I highly recommend this wicked and wonderful series.

  • A Worthy Opponent

A Worthy Opponent is smoking hot just as its predecessors. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Tink and Hook have a banter filled, tension filled, hate-love relationship with lots of chemistry. I love the tug of war aspect of their relationship but what I loved most was the way Hook saw her and treated her, that she alone got that side of him. There's kinky shenanigans a plenty in this book along with a suspense of sorts. I loved it and highly recommend it.

  • Definitely Hooked.

Allow me to preface this review with a caveat. I love anti-heroes, villains, and dark heroes. I enjoy reading dangerous men with questionable morals. Katee Robert definitely has me hooked. Pun intended. When I read Dangerous Measures, I knew I had found a world I wanted to explore at length. We meet both Hook and Tink in Dangerous Measures, and I sensed the tension between them instantly. A Worthy Opponent not only met my expectations for these two characters, it doubled down. Katee Robert gave both Hook and Tink vivid character dimension and believable development. I loved reading the shift from enemies to lovers, and not only because it’s one of my favorite tropes. Plus, I love Hook. I really do. It’s a “buy now” thing for me when I see an author take this character and put their spin on it. While I’m not a big fan of sharing, I think Ms. Robert did an amazing job tying that preference into the characters in a believable manner. To everyone their own kink. Plus, it tied in several other characters whose stories we know are coming soon. Bravo in making the scenes dual purpose. This story does stand alone, although it is more fun if read in order, just so you get the feel of the dynamics and histories of the other characters they meet. Ms. Robert’s Wicked Villains series is one of my favorites, and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with in the next installment. If you enjoy dark characters and intense kinky situations, then this series is definitely for you. Especially if you’ve found yourself lusting after those villains you used to hate as a kid.
