  • A wonderful year

I was on holiday in Provence when I decided to read this book. I read it as we climbed the never-ending hills driving through the picturesque villages drinking in the sun, the wine, ( not whilst driving), and eating the delicious food. Provence is a full- on experience of the senses as is this book. I loved the comic moments and the potrayal of figures such as Bernard and Didier. I felt that I was almost there with them in that house.

  • A Year in Provence

A little dated and stodgy but for anyone who has spent or is intending to spend some time in this charming landscape, it's a good apetiser or nostalgic reprise.

  • A Year in Provence

A very enjoyable read about an English couple making a good fist of living in a beautiful yet sometimes challenging part of France. There is plenty of well placed humour and makes you both admire and sympathise with the couple as they negotiate life in the different lifestyle.

    Thanks for your feedback!
