  • Suspenseful, but not particularly dark … Part One

Jagger Jones has exchanged big city life for the quiet existence of small town living. To satisfy the excitement she still craves, and partly to prove she can do it, she embarks on a secret life of crime that draws the attention of Cash Delacorte. It seems Cash knows her through her older sister Calliope, (The Ruthless Knight) and he’s come to collect what Jagger’s stolen and more. I enjoyed Jagger. She was feisty, quick-witted, brave and gutsy. I wish she’d have listened more often to her gut instincts and common sense though, rather than to submit to her body’s reactions whenever Cash was close at hand. For all that Cash was a hardened criminal and seemed to have the upper hand in their dealings, his tough talk about punishments and consequences to Jagger came to mean very little. As a result, the story wasn’t particularly dark at all. Overall, it’s a quick read with plenty of drama, suspense and deception plus some dirty talk and steamy encounters. I am looking forward to ‘Absolute Trust’ though to see how things unfold between this couple. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Amazing

It's been a while since I've read the book from this author. “Power is of two kinds: one is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love.” –Mahatma Gandhi - I loved the beginning of this book because I love this line. And just like the line, the entire story pulls you in and you cannot wait to see what Jagger and Cash have planned for the reader. 5 stars. • Loved

This is the first book in the Absolute Power duet which is Cash and Jagger’s story. It’s dark and full of drama and all the lust that you would expect from a dark read. The characters are well developed and kept me interested throughout the storyline. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • fantastic

This is a new author to me, and this book is brilliant. It’s part one of a duet so it does end with a cliffhanger and I can’t wait for book 2. The plot, the characters are all written with depth and are fantastic. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Absolute Power

Holy Moly!! What an intense, exciting, chemistry-filled story!! One that actually has me rooting for the "bad boy". There are so many twists and turns. So many events that pulled at my heartstrings and brought a tear to my eye. At one point, I wanted to take Jagger by her shoulders and shake her to find out exactly what she was thinking!! And then there's Cash. One minute, I think he has a heart as big as he is and the next makes me want to knee him in the jewels!! And don't get me started on Jag's sister …. What a piece of work!! There's a huge cliffhanger at the end, so be prepared, but my word, it's so worth it!! Jeana E. Mann has done her job well because I can't wait for the next one.

    Thanks for your feedback!
