  • the ABSOLUTE BEST

Now THIS was a great book. Had more details, more in-depth characters, more of EVERYTHING. Laney, Hagen? An awesome match. The fact that neither of them knows what they are to themselves, much less each other, is what kept me so glued to the pages. Loved the Hitchcock ending.

  • Great Addition to the Series

Mandy M. Roth did a fantastic job with this second book in the PSI-Ops/Immortal Ops world. These characters were well written and kept me entertained from beginning to end. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Holy Batman what were those things?

He may not look it however he certainly felt it deep down to his bones; he was old no he was a relic now. James knew his late night activities were draining his energy but he so enjoyed it. He knew he should rest more but that never went well for him and it was all thanks to his resent imprisonment. But it was the vision of a woman rattling around in his head that did him in and made him feel almost like a lecher. He'd spent time trying to help those less fortunate youths on the streets. James couldn't begin to understand what those idiots did to him during his time as their pet guinea pig. She wasn't one to boast about her extraordinary skills however now Laney spend her extra cash on her super bad machines she didn't need fru-fru girly stuff. James finally had a real name not just some made up one and when he asked to meet in person, he held his breath and hoped. With a time and place etched in stone he'd be there with bells on. Now he honestly had to admired the new Doc's handy work she turned his fellow comrades into bumbly stumbling idiots and all in the name of research. There was this sensation a feeling that something wasn't kosher and he'd been right on the money as he and his date were attacked. His mind was messed up that maniac had fried it and now it was miss firing. But he couldn't help himself Laney was the warmest arm full that smelled like heaven. Unfortunately nothing was going as planned there date had been full of bullets and weird freaky things that taste like chicken. Laney wasn't about to let him runaway from her; he was perfect for her and it was about time he understood that. • Great read

I loved reading this book. It is full of action and romance. Loved the steaminess of it. Loved how James put Laney's comfort over his needs and how they protected each other.
