  • Excellent

Compassionate warriorship in action through active hope. I loved the poem active how the most. The method described is powerful, transformative and practical. There is lots of online extra material available with the book, which is great.

  • Eco-anxiety and how to go forth

Being a climate activist, or even a global warming worrier, there are times when it just sucks the hope out of me. This book is a wonderful antidote to the feelings of hopelessness or anxiety. It explains how and why we feel like that and how to turn our perceptions into useful energy and a sense of purpose. The conceptual models are useful and there is a wide variety of approaches, both spiritual, psychological and practical. A pinch of woo woo maybe but I guess it always floats somebodies boat. For me the bigger perspective in time and place had a huge impact on how I am going forward. I will be revisiting this book, I am sure. It has great references too. I did an Active Hope workshop shortly after reading this, the Work that Reconnects - just do it if you get a chance.
