    After the Rain

This book was no where as good as the first. Don't get me wrong the writing is great. But... The angst, pain, healing and love is very different and honestly non existent in most places. I feel like Asher was all but forgotten in this book accept for his notes. Katie's suffering from Asher's death started the book off but her healing was skipped right over and only months after losing Asher she was ready for a relationship. Based on Kate's character of internalizing pain and suffering she doesn't actually seem like the type of person who would magically be ready to love again after loving Asher so deeply. There were points I was actually shocked to how much she seemed to move on with ease. Happy ending happy story, too mushy with no real substance. It felt rushed more like it was expected for Kate & Beau to have a story. He just accepts everything with no question asked. There relationship just seemed so fake.

This book put the finishing touches on the story! Beau really was a dream guy! Can't wait to read about Rachel and Emery. Thank you for these characters.
