  • A most compelling book

This book is just simply an amazing book that shows war in truth, both in what everyday men who answered the call to war had to endure and how it changed them.... leaving you with a completely different view on what war is like.

    Thanks for your feedback!

Brilliant, powerfu and compelling, i daee say one of the most powerful anti war novels set in the utter despair and vilence of ghe first world war, and provocatively sensual

  • Definitely a masterpiece

Shocking. Moving. Thought provoking. Even 100 years on from the events it depicts it should be compulsory reading for anyone who doubts the value of countries working together with each other.

  • PG Book Club July

Everyone should read this at high school, especially boys. War is not fun, it's fear and death and sorrow. And noise and gas and horror. Remarkable.
