  • Murder she wrote

The second in this series sees Christopher Holmes dragged across the continent to help his old mentor, Anna Hitchcock, run a writer's retreat after a fall on icy stairs leaves her incapacitated. Despite his reluctance to be with people in situations like this he feels obliged to help. There have been a series of incidents that Anna uses to convince Christopher that someone is trying to kill her. Soon after his arrival there's a car accident which leaves one of the guests dead and others hospitalized. It's hard to imagine any connection between the incidents unless someone sabotaged the car thinking it was Anna's. The body count rises but nothing is making sense until you consider what seems improbable. Maybe they've been looking in the wrong direction all along. An interesting mystery and a chance for more development in Christopher and J.X.'s relationship.
