Impress view on humanity in the face of oppression

Deeply impressive. Recently having begun wrestling my way through 'Mein Kampf', this novel provided a most forceful counter-narrative. The story, oppressive as it is, grips you right from the start and leaves you no doubt at all about the criminal nature of the Third Reich. Also, depressingly, at almost every page you're faced with the ultimate political Question of any private person: what would I do, how would I behave, when faced with a political system that openly professes barbarism?
