    Deprivation and Demented

Oh man. This book has left with me a hangover headache after reading it. Jaxon Ray is a neurosurgeon who has helped perfect his grandfather’s amnesia/dementia repair drug, only HIS drug steals memories rather than restoring them. And he only ones to steal one womans memories and replace them with made up ones. Amber is a thirty year old teacher. She was engaged to Xander. On the way to meet Xander, before going to see their wedding planner, she is hit by another car, requiring her to go to the hospital. Jaxon does surgery on her to help “minimize” her memory loss from her amnesia and is giving her daily injections of Centrifuge. The dosages become more frequent as she starts remembering things and he’s not happy about it. Jaxon is one depraved dude in my opinion. I think Amber did the right thing by playing things out the way she did and the going was good while it lasted. I can’t wait to read the second book to see how Jaxon and Amber’s story ends. I started reading this book and read it in one sitting! I just did not and would not put it down until I finished it! This book will have triggers in it for some men and women so it is NOT a book for all people. I’ve read two of Kylie’s other books but this one is on a whole other level with how demented/depraved the main male character is. I would HIGHLY recommend this book to readers who do not have triggers and to those same readers who can handle most generalized triggers. This book isn't for everyone but I enjoyed it all. ***I received an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion***

    An amazing read

Amnesia completely blew my mind and has left me with a massive book hangover. This is one of the best stories that I have read this year and Kylie Hillman has done an incredibly amazing job with writing this story that has many twists and turns throughout it. Amnesia was a disturbingly dark read that I absolutely loved from the moment I read the first page oft his book. This story will instantly suck you in to the very end and then leaving you wanting more. My heart broke for Amber so much throughout the story with the way that she was treated by the people that are meant to love and protect her from evil things. She was incredibly selfless and the way that she went out of her way to help others. Kylie Hillman done an amazing job with writing Amber and the frustration and confusion that an individual with no memories has. I absolutely loved this character so much and cant wait to find out what happens with her in the next story. Jax was a complicated character that came across has a sexy doctor to most but was really a sociopath beneath it all. He was a controlling character that got what he wanted even if it meant he broke the law and took away someone’s free will. He took his obsession with Amber to a whole new level with the way that he purposely took her memories from her in order to have her. Amnesia is a dark read about Dr. Jaxon Ray who has been obsessed with Amber St. George all his life and finally takes matters in his own hands to get her. He does this by engineering a new drug that makes Amber forget her life and to make her love him. Kylie Hillman has written a calculating and devious story that has turned into an addictive read. There were many twists and turns throughout the story that I loved and the story flowed all the way through. I am desperately waiting for the next story in this series to find out what happens next to these characters.

    Psychologically Disturbing, Gripping, Stupendous

I volunteered to read an ARC of this book for an honest review for United Indie Book Blog - This book is unlike anything I have ever read before. The complexity and twists and turns in the storyline are thrilling, scary and down right frustrating. So many times I found myself yelling at the characters in the book. Amber St. George is a woman who has faced so much emotional, and psychological abuse all through her life that it is hard to imagine how she manages to stay strong and courageous. Dr. Jax Ray the protagonist is someone I WANTED TO MURDER FROM DAY 1. This book captivates and engrosses you to a point where you want to throw it away and then pick it back up because you cannot believe the elements in it. It is definitely a dark read with disturbing scenes. The book is beautifully written and executed. I wish I could accolade more than 5*.
