  • Interesting Mundane Fantasy

I really enjoyed this book especially as I am a twin and it rare to find a book where it's not the usual boring good twin/bad twin cliche. Having said that, I did think that Mori didn't really talk about her dead twin sister all that much. I would have liked to have had the scene where they are fighting their mother and her sister is killed in the novel rather than just be told about it. I think it's a mundane fantasy. Mori is not always 100% sure if magic has changed things. The fairies are fascinating. It's written in the first person, which works very well. Mori is an interesting character and I really felt for her as a fish out of water. It also made me want to read all the science fiction, fantasy and historical novels she mentions that I haven't already read.

    Thanks for your feedback!
