The book was a excellent read

I found the discriptions of area's (wllongong,Blue Mountains, etc) ,enjoyable because I know the area's well The only slight wish "Thea Hayes",could have told us how her boys ended up in society, did they do well or what did they do

    Boring

Thought this would be more about nursing experiences, not a boring diary based on sometimes sketchy recollections.

    Not what the title suggests

I expected to read about nursing in the outback - as the title suggests. Unfortunately this has practically nothing about nursing in it. It is simply the self indulgent memoirs of someone who went to live on a station, told in language that is not particularly riveting. Certainly no Jenny Lee (Call the Midwife)!
