    It's in the air

It's in the air, or the water, or perhaps it is in the ale? Annabel is on the run. From who she does not know but then she has the gift of magic, and in a century where witches can be tried without a court, even the slightest whisper, rumour or ruse can condemn you for your sins. For that matter don't assume you are sinless. What other people suggest you may have done, or who you are, can swing an opposition's opinion of you. Then there are the witch-hiunters. Their pursuit in the hunt of their prey knows no bounds. When the master witch hunter catches up with Annabel she knows she is in trouble. But Annabel has eyes in the back of her head however, the eyes in her face are attracted the six inches below the man's belt where the witch-hunter's sex drive is fascinating her. The inquisition that follows takes a lot out of them both. Later that evening, acting on information, Annabel is directed to meet with the local coven. To join the coven Annabel must prove her magic gifts, and pass the initiation. The tension is sexually charged, the characters are well described, and the written language is well presented. This is a delightful little prequel. The final twist isn't bad either.
