  • A composer's life

Clearly one for the fans but also insightful on a golden age of music and culture. Bacharach had the beauty, the women and of course the talent and drive. Insightful on the composer's art and the human foibles that add to it. He is often honest and even raw and lets other perspectives in through first person accounts. The writing is not exceptional but stories linger. Time with Dietrich particularly engaging.

    Thanks for your feedback!
