  • Great first read from the author

Baby maker.......you would be surprised how this baby was made.... Dane Wylder.....he has been added to my ever growing “book boyfriend” list. Stella.....I would describe her as strong, independent, determined and a little disillusioned with love; which is understandable with her parents history. The meeting of Stella and Dane is one of epic proportions (well, epically funny). I loved the banter between the two and the addition of the supporting characters (Dane’s dad, brother and Stella’s friends and family oh and her boss). From page one to the very last, I became more invested in there “life”; this book has everything you could want: it’s heartbreaking, heartwarming, funny (yes I giggled quite a few times). Ms. Dangelico did a fantastic job drawing you in to the story. It was beautifully written; I look forward to reading more from her. Reviewed by: Dana D.

  • Loved it, has all P Dangelico's trademark wit

Four and a half stars. Can I just say I lurve Ms Dangelico's books. After a family problem Stella Donovan's biological clock goes off. A driven financial manager with a New York company she has no time for marriage or romance and her family history has led her to believe there is no such thing as love. So she decides to have a baby through some kind of donation. Having grown up with an absentee father Stella would like her baby's father to be involved in its life and so she decides to look at a co-parenting agreement. Dane Wylder is an Oklahoma farm boy and a recently retired NFL tight end. His mother broke his father's heart repeatedly when Dane was a child and eventually left for good when Dane was a young boy. He too wants nothing to do with love or marriage but would like to have a son and enjoy the same close relationship that he has with his father. Dane and Stella are connected by their mutual friend Ethan (the lawyer from Sledgehammer) and it is instant loathing on Stella's part. For some reason the Mensa-level IQ Dane feels compelled to go all "aw shucks" around Stella and enjoys pushing all her buttons. For her part Stella can't understand how an half-Mexican/ half-Irish woman renowned for her even temperament and ability to rise above sexist name-calling in the workplace can get irritated beyond belief by a swaggering, womaniser like Dane. What follows is a charming romance as Dane gradually whittles down Stella's barriers and they agree to have a baby together, but nothing more. This has all Ms Dangelico's trademark wit and humour as Dane and Stella are oblivious to the fact that everyone else can see - they are perfect for each other. I absolutely devoured this book and I just can't wait for the next book she writes. I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

  • Feel good book

I received a copy of this book from the author for a honest review. I love, love, love this book. I always know it's a good book when I don't want to rush through the book, instead I want to read each chapter slowly, which is really hard to do. This is my third book by this author and I've loved each one for different reasons. So this book has everything I want in a book, great character's, fun dialogue, slow burn romance and writing that keeps me smiling. I loved both Dane and Stella and did not want this book to end. I honestly don't want to say too much because I want everyone to enjoy it without too much input. I will say that is has dual POV, no cheating and a wonderful ending. Definitely a re-read for me it was just that delicious.

  • Fantastic book

This book was fantastic. Stella Donovan has a problem. She is 33-year old financial manager and her biological clock is ticking. She wants a baby .The biggest problem is that she doesn't want marriage, just a men who is going to baby's father. So she phones couple of her friends and one of them has a perfect mach for her.Stella is willing to meet that friend and give him a try. Dane Wylder is retired football player. After years of living quick, busy and no-family time life he is ready for something else.He wants to be a father. But no love for him.He doesn't believe in that,he saw what love did to his father and he doesn't want it.Dane admits his feelings to his friend and he has a mach for him. When this two meet each other it doesn't go well.Stella is to serious and workaholic and she never had a fun time.On the other hand Dane is chatty, charismatic, fun and carefree. He expects from her to fall on her knees for him, like the rest of the women and she just doesn't understand all that fuss about him.But they both want a baby so they come to agreement. This book was such a fun and slow burn for me.The romance was build so good.Stella and Dane are so completely different form each other but somehow they are exactly what the other one needs.Together they discover that love is not a bad thing and that there is more to life than what they were doing. I was burning with anticipation for their first kiss and for them to admit their feelings. This book was so good and I had so much fun reading it.I love it.Stella's inner monologues were so hilarious and Dane was, like every men so proud of himself. The other characters were also good and i hope we see them again. I recommend this book to everyone, you will be surprised with how many feelings is waiting you inside.

  • One of the best Romance books I've read this year

Okay, so 'Baby Maker' is the first book that I have read by P. Dangelico. And it was a very pleasant surprise for me to become so engaged in a book from the first few pages. Stella and Dane are complete polar opposites as people and their personalities go. But they have something in common. Both want a child without the ties of marriage. So in this context, the title is pretty self-explanatory. The path to achieving their goal is the highlight of this book. Dane's pursuit of Stella, to take a chance on him and the way they eventually get under each other's skin is a great adventure of laughs and romantic moments. I was so impressed by this author's writing that I went and downloaded as many books of hers that I could get my hands on. I received an Advanced Reviewers Copy from the Publisher via #NetGalley for voluntary review consideration.
