  • Experience the Oregon Trail

Even if you don't usually go for historical fiction, I think you'll really enjoy this novel. It has everything! The characters and their emotions are so believable and so well-described, you can't help but feel for them--feel *with* them. Jae clearly put a whole lot of research into this, and it shows. I also really enjoyed the slow and rocky build to the romance, and how that romance was there from the start, but layered and camouflaged, so you had to peel back one thing after another until you reach the truth of their love. Give this one a try. You will not be disappointed.

  • A Smashing Good Book

I have always loved historical fiction. The problem is that it’s very hard to find a good historical fiction novel in lesbian fiction. My search is over. This book, as far as I’m concerned is perfect. It has all the elements that I feel need to be in this type of book. The characters are engaging, the story line grabbed me from almost the first page, the setting is wonderful and I just loved the book! Upon completion, I had an overwhelming urge to go find my copy of the Oregon Trail game.

  • Wonderful

I loved the story telling via the Oregon trail. Lots of little bits of history while a relationship develops en route.
