  • Honest gripping storytelling

Damien gives an honest but entertaining account of his time in Africa with MSF. Despite the frustrations and failures, it is clear that the experience still motivated him to do good in the world and that he still has hour about one person's ability to make a difference. However, the book also highlights the need for longer term solutions the bandaid to hold everything together in the moment.

  • Just read it.

Interesting writing style. You can imagine him telling you the story. His frank, honest account of life on mission was a heartrending, gripping, fascinating insight into what it really is like living in a developing country. We take so much for granted.

  • Great read

Great to have my eyes opened to what is important in life. Racing about people who need basic things in life I found to be highly emotive. Damien did a wonderful job! He had me crying and laughing through out! Thank you for showing me a life I could not even begin to imagine!

  • Band-Aid for a broken leg

I read this book because I simply wanted to understand what MSFand similar aid agencies actualy did and how it is brought together and organised. I learned a lot. And it's food for thought.
