  • Good but not great...

I don’t know if I’ve grown out of this series in the last six years but... ...Harry kinda annoys me now. Was he always so self-hating? The big bad was overpowered and one-dimensional. No significant character development. From anyone. Honestly, Harry levels up in power but seems incapable of learning to be clever or maturing emotionally. He channels either shame/rage/or a wierd repressed schoolboy horniness. Or even trickier/more technical magic. Repetitive writing (especially Butters/Harry/battle scenes). Spoilers It’s also really weird how he’s really kinda weak compared to many of the allies in this book Odin/Molly/Mab/Eb/Carlos/River/Butters & Sanya/even Marcone kinda but he’s the one that wins the day? Against a titan?? IDK JB, I think I might be over it. I found these last two books okay. I’ll probably borrow the next one from the library or something.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Write faster and many more Jim

Just love this seris and others. Fragile characters with everyday problems doing what they can with a very cool twist or inclusion of any folklore JimB can come up with. Almost Disc World style without getting rediculous ;)

    Thanks for your feedback!
