  • Fun enemies to lovers

In Best Man, Lia is getting ready to marry her boyfriend of five years, Aaron. The day before the wedding Aaron tells her he forgot the rings. She decides to head to his apartment to retrieve them. Aaron sends his best man, Miles, to go with her. Miles is a broody alpha male that doesn’t get along well with Lia. She thinks he hates her. The two of them get stranded on their way back to the hotel. Through spending so much time alone they both discover things they didn’t know from one another. I really enjoyed reading this story. I enjoyed Miles and Lia and their interactions with one another. This was a quick, well written enemies to lovers story that I think everyone will enjoy.

  • 4.5 STARS!!!!

I really, really liked this story! I liked the way it was written. It was different and unique and it kept my interest from beginning to end. I especially liked that it took place in Colorado where I live, so it was super fun that I was familiar with the places that were mentioned. I liked Lia, but I LOVED Miles. But is that a surprise? Nope! Katy Evans creates the BEST heroes. They are always manly, witty, and super delicious! There was something so mysterious and sexy about him. Like Lia, I was trying to figure him out! It was so much fun to watch them walk the fine line of love and hate. It led to some intense scenes. All I'm going to say is... THAT scene at the rest stop. HOLY HOTCAKES! Their dialogue was entertaining, and I really enjoyed how everything worked out in the end. You can always count on a Katy Evans novel to exceed all your romance expectations. I HIGHLY recommend!

  • Enjoyable

4 Star Review Best Man by Katy Evans   The latest stand alone from Katy Evans which was an enjoyable read. I was intrigued by the blurb for this book which is an enemies to lovers story. What happens when the “best man” turns out to be the best man? When Lia’s fiancee forgets the rings she insists that someone returns to collect them, the last things that Lia expects or wants is to be on a road trip with the best man Miles Foster instead of her fiancee Aaron who is nursing a massive hangover. Miles and Lia do not like one another, but there is a fine line between love and hate and it looks as though that line is about to blur and be crossed. I liked Miles, he is arrogant, sexy and a total alpha and he ticked the boxes for me although I had a hard time connecting to Lia. There was definitely tension and the chemistry between Lia and Miles builds as they are stuck on their road trip to retrieve the forgotten rings. When secrets are revealed Lia will be left reeling, knowing that her life has been built on lies. What will she do?

  • Unbelievable Tension and a Page Turner!

What’s amazing about this story is the majority of it takes place in the span on 24 hours. I really liked Lia and her blinders she wore around Aaron drove me a little insane. Miles...he’s one tall, dark and brooding hottie. The two were like oil and water but stuck together the hidden feelings are slowly revealed. I loved the tension and twist but with just 24 hours and flashbacks...I wish they’d had more time. Still it was a fun read and kept me entertained. I was sucked into how everything would turn out and couldn’t stop turning pages.

  • 5 Stars

I didn’t know what to expect going into Best Man. I just knew the blurb sounded really good and I couldn’t wait to dive in. Let me tell you, I was hooked right from the start and loved this story! Lia and Aaron have been together for years and finally find their way to the alter. Unfortunately, she needs to rush back to Aaron’s to grab the rings and gets caught in a storm...with the best man. I loved how this story played out and the best man, he is amazing!!!!! The groom...yeah he’s a douche! You have to read to find out why and see how this story ends with these folks! Ms. Evans rocked the hell out of this book! I find myself want my to read it again because of how quirky and entertaining the characters are and the hate relationship between the bride and best man. This was a great entertaining read to keep you laughing and swooning all the way through. 5 stars!
