*received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review* This was a pretty good series with obvious lust, built up love and admiration, and (of course) suspenseful action. I loved Cash and Willow's relationship; as a therapist and a victim, seeing the pair interact was interesting. I got a lot of helplessness that were at times a major downer, but seeing her slowly stick up for herself made it a little better. Cash was a weird guy to get used to; he was so intense with his emotions dealing with Willow, and rough (yeeeees) when it came to helping her toughen up and deal with her crazy ex. Yet at the same time, he was also this sensible person who knew the mental answers Willow sought in figuring out what was really right and wrong. The contrast was a bit distorting but I got used to it by the second book. I'm glad I read the set because it would've driven me nuts with those cliffhangers, and it seemed to flow better for me. Then again I didn't go through the angst of waiting so that may be it lol. The author's writing was great in fitting the character with the current POV, but in the first part of this set, there were a lot of paragraphs dealing with victims and explaining the whole therapy aspect (if that makes sense). It's okay and actually helps set up Willow and what's to come, but still, it was a bit off-putting when things got serious and felt more like info than anything that directly added to the story. But that's just me. Overall this set had the action, the romance and the ever-irritating characters that you'd wish Cash would end with his motorcycle. Recommend.
