  • Bitter Water

Couldn't put it down. I am just discovering all of these terrifc British writers! Just loved the style of writing. I could hear the Scottish accents jumping from the pages. Such a pleasure to read. Thank you Gordon Ferris!

  • Bitter Water

The Douglas Brodie series of books just becomes better and better. Set in the aftermath of the 2nd World War in Glasgow this author has immaculate knowledge of the city and the people of the time. The book is brilliantly written with wonderful descriptions and the mood of the times. The characters of Douglas Brodie and Samantha Campbell are well constructed and utterly believable. The storyline is a rush of adrenaline and unputdown able. Read it and be swept up by the story and it's characters. Excellent reading.

  • Bitter water.

Another excellent book by Gordon Ferris. Well written, a tale carefully spun to keep you engaged and turning the pages. The characters so believable, a clever plot to keep you in suspense. This sequel to The Hanging Shed did not disappoint.
