  • Black Rabbit Hall

Stumbling to get to grips at the beginning, this book turned into a wonderful, unputdownable story, full of surprises, which had me firmly in its grasp, bringing me crying through the last couple of chapters to the end of the book, wanting more. More Black Rabbit Hall, more tales, more little jewel bracelets of words, cleverly, poetically strung together. I loved this book.

  • Beautifully haunting

What starts off as a cutesy wedding venue finding story soon begins to unveil secrets and dark memories of this huge country estate. It’s set between two lines and is easy to keep up with. This story keeps you guessing throughout and until the last few chapters you don’t really know exactly what Lornas background actually is. I was so happy to know it turned out beautifully and it’s definitely a book I’ll be passing on

  • Good for a laugh

I give it two stars for the dark atmosphere that sucked me in and kept me there till the end. Other than that it's just a story so farfetched you find yourself shake your head with ridicule from time to time. To keep it short, every character is mad as a box of frogs. Some of them flips from a loving parent to a cold stony stranger mid chapter. No one seems to have an ounce of common sense apart from the odd servant. Worst of all is the notion that American's 'never discipline' and 'children are never wrong' kind of parenting is oh so much more superior and American characters are so much better than the evil, old fashion Englanders. In the end they all found perfect bliss in America. Yes of course dear,we all believe that.
