dark stuff and paranormal awesome combo

What I love about this author is you never quite know what's coming when you read her books. This isn't a pretty or happy story in fact in a round about way it's about atonement and truth. After one more traumatic event in this young ladies life after all her dreams and wishes have gone astray now we learn the facts of how she got here. With flashbacks we get it all along with the happenings in the present. Thrown into a battle she has no idea how to win we get to see her in action and meet Jeronimo. This story includes some real dark stuff along with the paranormal and it's blended so well the seams between reality and paranormal interlace with supreme skill, this author tell us a story of deaths, abuse, rape, lies, guilt and deception and the resulting damage. It's so well done that you find yourself falling into the rabbit hole and hoping for something to change, for it not to be happening. This isn't a romance, or sweet story. The truth will come out. When it does, all the towns people and good church goers will say at once Bless Her heart, just like the good southerners they are.

    Love it

Meg loves to keep us in our toes, and she does it again! A small town paranormal with a twist. One that could be a local legend or, from stories you hear, something that is ongoing in the small mountain towns. All small towns have secrets, as do the residents. One girl, while dealing with her own demons, is about to find out her family specializes in them.
