  • Confusing

I enjoyed the mystery element of this book which was sustained through out. Living in the UK, and never having travelled to Scandinavia, I found it difficult to visualise the settings which removed some of the enjoyment because I was trying to guess what the places were like. The greatest frustration was that in the latter part of the book the storylines of various characters seemed to merge into one another without a clear distinction. This led to the story becoming muddled as adjacent paragraphs appeared disjointed/unrelated to each other.

  • Good read

Nicely paced and good intrigue. Like the characters that all come with their quirks ! Very readable for a translated book. Will definitely read other books in series.

  • Blind Goddess

Blind Goddess is a great start to a series of books by Anne Holt. Although there are sections of the book which seem to drag a little, they are all vital to the storyline. Keep going with the book and soon different clues begin to appear as to what the story is all about. It comes clear that this is no ordinary murder and involves important people in Norway. The book is well written and very descriptive. You learn a great deal about the country and areas of Norway. A really good read which introduces characters who appear in the different books in the series. Don't be tempted to read the books out of sequence, you will only become confused as to what the characters have been up to.

    Thanks for your feedback!
